Description: Hospitality businesses, such as restaurants, like to set the tone of their service from the moment a customer walks in the door. Is this a friendly business that puts customers first? Is this an upscale service? The Host or Hostess is responsible for setting the tone of a business, managing and fielding several customer service related activities. This position requires at least a high school diploma or its equivalent. In order to progress into a management role, many hospitality institutions require an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in hospitality or a relevant field.
