Description: A Retail Salesperson generally represents a company at the point of sale. These workers are different from cashiers. They are often a customer's initial point of contact with a company, delivering key information about merchandise and goods. They may sell merchandise such as apparel, cosmetics, appliances, furniture and motor vehicles. Although no formal schooling is required for this position, many employers prefer workers with at least a high school degree or its equivalent.
