Description: Plumbers support the installation, maintenance and repair of piping systems in homes, factories and businesses. This includes pipes that carry steam, air, water and other liquids.Plumbers generally enter the field through an apprenticeship. Most four to five year apprenticeships involve up to 2,000 hours of on-the-job training, where they will become familiar with equipment, various piping systems and other plumbing tasks.
